Mesmerised by Avatar-3D

Everyone have been going crazy over Avatar and I was one of them. I have always wanted to watch it since last year but I only saw it yesterday.

Four of us decided to watch the late nite show since the other showtimes was fully booked. Well, thinking no one would actually watch the 1145pm , I didnt book any seats. It was a huge mistake! We ended up getting seats 3 row from the front. Hahaha. You should see Shan's face when we were getting the tix. She wanted to kill me. :P The tv showed that there was only FEW seatings left. *dies*

Well the deal was if there was no ticket left for 3D Avatar at 1145pm, I have to perform something to entertain them. Ahhhhhhh!! I prayed really really hard when we were queue-ing. Oh man, the moment of life and death! XD

There was lots of updates from Facebook friends that 3D Avatar was AWESOME and a must watch! So please dont ask me whats the different with the 3D version and the non-3D version.I only watched the 3D version. Avatar was out since 18 December 2009; yesterday was 6 January 2010. BUT there are crazy people out there who just keep filling up the theatre. ZOMG! 1145pm folks! Dont these people have to work the next day? =.=

Anyways, I am just glad we got seats in the end. The first 30 minutes was torturous to me as I kept trying to find the most comfortable position to sit with the incredibly heavy 3D glasses on. Half way through watching Avatar, I couldn't breath properly. That is one heavy glasses. @_______@

The whole movie was just incredible. I love the effects! I love the scenery! I love the lightings! I couldnt let my eye off the movie although the breathing part kinda interrupted in the midst. Three hours; and I was very into it.

There was this one scene where all the cute-like spirits from Eyra (Tree Soul of the Na'vi) surrounds Jake. (look above)

Pandora. The nature view at night was fascinating! I fell in love with it immediately. With 3D glasses, it blew my mind away. Imagine this, everything around you is lit. Every step you take, there are lights under your feet. Ya, I like pretty stuff that has pretty colors. It was a good movie, better than 2012 any time! Bleh. 2012 was such a let down.

Oh oh, speaking of which, I want to look for their songtrack and download them! I really like all the songs played through Avatar. It totally fit in and created the mood. Me like me like!

Below is sort of a spoiler for Avatar. The storyline is kinda similar to Pocahontas ^^

I highly encourage to those who have not watch 3D Avatar yet. Watch while it is still showing. You wont regret it! Be ready to be mesmerised by Avatar folks! ;)

Yes to Sherlock Holmes

Today is take-a-chance movie day. Lol.

Was lazying around at home , surfing the net randomly and i was persuading CL to catch a movie with me. Persuading him to watch Avatar to be specific. Well the effort took up alot of energy and convincing. Its never easy to convince CL to watch a movie in the cinema. So the movie has to be damn good or he will rather pass. XD

I, when catching a movie, dont have a preference of the type of movie that I would want to watch. As long as its not a Chinese movie or a horror one, I would watch. I find storylines in Chinese movies rather repetitive and boring, therefore not worth the money. Horror ones? I am not a great fan of horror movie. Really. Gack. *hide hide*

More like I watch any movie friends recommend. Rofl.

While busy doing "important" stuff on the net, CL want to catch a movie.
My response: Wow! Thats awesome! =))

Our usual venue to watch is at Summit cos it is super near to home, like 7-10 minutes drive away. And student price is 6 bucks. XD Couldnt be any happier.

What movie to catch? Sherlock Holmes! Well CL was quite excited about it and he is a big fan of detectives stories so I decided to watch it. He was reluctant to catch Avatar. I am such a nice considerate sis arent I? XD

There isnt much promotion about Sherlock Holmes if you ask me. It was pretty dead. Therefore consumers like me have the impression that it wont good. Ok la, maybe not consumers la, its only me who thought so. XD

Even while queue-ing up for the ticket,I couldnt see any posters for Sherlock Holmes! ZOMG! "Is it really THAT bad?? "

I love it! Worth every single penny and time. Sherlock Holmes and Watson acted their characters really well! They are humorous also. Me like! Oh Oh, their dog Gladstone is awe so cuteee!! Even Irene Adler, she was good~ !! Alluring is definitely her thing to impress Sherlock Holmes. XD Well every movie has to has a love attraction thing right. XD

All in all, the explaination of the key to cases and solving them was acceptable.

One of the best movie yet for the year. Will Avatar replace it? Only time will tell when I watch it. Sighs. When oh when will I watch Avatar? @____@

SO. . . . Dont know what movie to catch? Watch Sherlock Holmes! You wont regret it! =)

Mary and Max - a movie

I suddenly thought of this movie I was watching with Rubi titled "Mary and Max".

  • A story of how two people was looking for true friendship.
  • There was no love-relationship in the movie which was great!
  • The sad part of life.
  • Of how mean people can be when you are "different".
  • Knowing a little more about disorders.
  • To appreciate how good your life is already.
  • That being ignored by people around you can be so hurtful and depressing.
  • How important growing up is (childhood) and how you were brought up.
  • The super important roles of parents.
  • Important note: Never learn parenting skills from movies / series.

The movie Mary and Max was a good movie. Though it was depressing, I actually enjoyed watching it.

Looking for a good movie? Look no more. Watch "Mary and Max" now. ^^

Movie Hangover

Movie marathon has been a new hobby these days. Yesterday itself we watched 3 movies in a row during the stayover. One thriller movie and two ghost horror movie.

The title of the thriller movie is Friday the 13th. Jason killed almost everyone in a quick matter. Dead. Right through the head. Two was killed s-l-o-w-ly. One burned to death and the other pierced through the neck and skull s-l-o-w-l-y. Eeeeewww!!

Next on the list was a movie from Thailand, title : Coming Soon. This horror movie was about how every cinema staff who watched the movie died in the movie. Spooky! In the movie´s movie back stage, the main actress was hung dead accidentally, the movie crews didnt realise till it´s too late. Damn. Then she came back to kill everyone who watched the movie.

Animation horror movie titled 4bia was next. By the time 4bia was played, adrenaline rush was running all over me. I actually thought why am I watching horror movie and I think I am gonna regret when I am back to Ave. Eeeekkkk!! Huhu. Lets hope I dont hear things when I get back.

That night, I was suddenly haunted by a nightmare that I used to have when I was a kid and it wasnt a good sign, at least for me. I woke up with an empty head and my hands trembling. I dont want to recall what my dream was. =.=

Today we watched a movie called Hostel. It is a human-torture type of movie where people go to Slovakia and pay to torture. The degree of the torture sums the amount you would need to pay for the torture "experience". This movie is so sick. How can anyone be so inhuman to torture others(innocent people) for personal satisfaction for the hatred that they have towards a nationality. Eeeww eewww eeewwww!!  =(

You can drown me with any Thai horror movies but not human-torture movie. It hurts me mentally watching people get tortured without any mercy. Argh! Sick sick sick!!!
