Fav sentences for the day

The few sentence people comes out with in a nicktime:

[[ Please be informed that I dont remember the exact sentence they said but it was something like this below xD ]]

1) "I need to stop pleasing people and start pleasing myself"
2) "You need the right body to do it"
3) "How are u going to balance if you want to sleep more and a relationship?" And the answer after that was xD

Hahaha! They are so adorable. All three of them. Especially their face expression after saying it xD
It sounded really wrong but they cant take it back :P

Although they are from USM, three of them are different, three unique individual. I am proud of them and glad I could watch them in action yesterday. =)

{ PS: Of course it sounds wrong if you think it that way :P }

Faci fun time =)

Besides work in the faci team in MyLDs, we had our own fun! A game I suddenly recalled that we were playing like a kid with lots of running and screaming. Man, I miss that game so soo much!

TANK!

There is a person in-command where he/she is the general. His/her role? To guard the base! To menghidupkan the soldiers. To assign roles to the team(it can change from time to time).

Then there is the soldier, plane and tank in the game!

Basically soldiers can kill soldiers only with a poke at their opponents back. Soldiers can kill tank BUT with 2 soldiers! Again, the 2 soldiers must poke the Tank's back! Soldiers cant kill plane!

Tank kills plane by jumping on their back! Tank cant kill soldiers. Well common sense says that humans will be able to run away from the slow-moving tank, so tank cant actually kill soldiers. Haha. A tank has a huge responsibility as the tank needs to reach the opponents' base and that shows the team wins!

Plane can only kill soldiers just by a pat on the shoulder. Weeeeeeeeeee. Its really fun to just run arounddd and go Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :P

Then the game begins. Of course, to make the tank harder to reach the opponents' base, the tank has to spell out t-a-n-k to make their 1st move! LOL. Its hillarious to see the tank in action. Really! Especially if they can spell really fast! Haha. This reminds me of Kean Huei! XP

The running and screaming! Fun! Fun! Fun! I dont mind playing this the whole day.

Also, our square dance that I totally love. With great thanks to Fido! ^^

The square dance (with above song) incorporates zombee walking, electric shocks (my favourite), butterfly moves and etc.

And we thought this dance will take our breath away. Never did we know that the MC dance was much more breathtaking. Haha. Its really catchy! You can see the dance moves for yourself! Woot!

I miss the crazy energy!! Oh my, I am having the PMS ! Post-MyLDS-Syndrome! Help!

Being back was GOOD!!

There are a list of things you want to do or explore or try when you join a club / organisation etc.

In AIESEC, there are a few things that I have always wanted to do and complete them.

Whats left in my want-to-do list?
  • Attending an international conference as a faci or a delegate
  • Running a national/international project
  • Going for an Exchange (twice actually if financially sustainable)
The experience of being a facilitator recently in MyLDS (Malaysia Leadership Development Seminar), a national AIESEC conference has been great despite some expectations did not meet. To be working with other AIESECers from other LCs and other countries have been an eye-opener, an experience I would like to pursue more in future given a chance. It was something I have always wanted to do in AIESEC. Although it was for a short period, the experience was a great and intense yet fun at the same time =)

In conferences (from my perspective), one gets a daily dosage of excitement, hyped up atmosphere in the morning, AIESECers filled with energy, sleepless nights, the faci team working hand-in-hand that complement each other running every sessions as successful as it can be, learning from one another and the list goes on.

It is true, working in a local and national level is a whole different type of experience.

Its great to be back!

I am addicted. What about you?

UUM take 1

Wow! UUM is a really huge university. We had to take a bus to go to our hostel. A 10min bus. As expected, monkeys monkeys monkeys. So i saw them hopping from 1 tree to 1 tree and the tree wasnt that tall anyway. They are a different type of species though, different from UM monkeys. Haha.

Wat else u can see here? Cats! Yes folks, theres alot of cats here. It reminds me of the similar cats I have seen in Banting school the last time i went there for a camp. The cats are not scared of humans! They will walk near you, manja at ur leg, purr and look at u with their innocent eyes. If you´re eating, they are expecting you to feed it. AND it jumps on the tables. Even pregnant mums jumps, really active although they are perut buncit. Wow! AND they can make their way through lecture hall doors !!

Anyway premeet went well. But need alil adjustment and touchup on certain stuff.

Tomorrow is another day and then the conference starts!

Time passes really fast. Now it's 5 days before de application closes if i dont change my mind, 1 week before I head home,  19 days before ending my @ journey, 51 days before flying off to have a cultural shock.

Flyyyyy

Oh my. With just one glance, and 2 years has passed. Walao wei ~ Hehe

Till today I can’t believe that I’m actually a senior already. In denial. Feels so old. Graduation is soon to hit me. Heading to the battle field where I’ll be facing the cruelty of survival and the never ending manipulation. The word materialistic will soon rule my life when I start working. Sigh.

I’ve never thought I’ll be involved in other organization besides St John. Well I’m quite a loyal person. It’s my first and longest relationship actually. 6 years of being a St John-er. Nothing could beat my spirit and motivation. I was really proud! Dont play-play!

Then I bumped into AIESEC, an organization that I dearly cherish now for the journey, the experience, the people, the spirit, the values and the list goes on. I still can’t believe how addicted I am towards AIESEC although there are many many much other motivated dedicated AIESEC-ers out there.

I discriminate. Used to back then. A lot! Well, I admit that I’m an accepting person but when it come to people who suffered from HIV/AIDS, no no! I feel disgusted with them. I used to think they should all just die and stop walking around with the virus on them.

But it was AIESEC that brought me further away from the stigma to discriminate them. I learn to understand them better. Slash off the stigma I used to have. I used to think HIV/AIDS can spread through talking face to face, swimming pool, physical touch, sharing food and toilets. Haha. How foolish I was back then. With thanks to AIESEC, I step out from out that state of mind. Hehe.

It was the involvement in HIV/AIDS 2006 project that made me realized that AIESEC could provide the various learning opportunity. AIESEC could make a difference (IMPACT the Alan style… hehe) in a person’s life although we aim to change the big community. Nevertheless, these people (although small number) could change other people’s life with their impactful experience/stories and the trend would go on lil by lil. 1 day, the whole community will change! Woot ~

Nevertheless, I was still thinking if I really want to stick to AIESEC. So to NLDS I went. To find my passion in AIESEC. The sense of belonging that I’m searching for. The click. It was an amazing experience though I was quite laid back. I observe others most of the time. Watching them voice their opinions from different perspective. Watching them have fun. Watching them lead the discussion and the group.

The decision to take up a position in EB back then was indecisive. I didn’t know if it was the best thing for me. Thinking back, although the 1st time EB experience was a bad experience, I really want to give my gratitude to them. These people have somehow make me stronger. They let me know…

How dangerous people could be

How fake some people could be

How drama some people could be and still pretend nothing’s wrong with them

The true meaning of bitch and slut

The lousy art of backstabbing cos people could see it obviously

How bodoh sombong people can be

How people can just simply throw responsibilities around like a ball

How people can just hide / run away when problems arise

How I can’t work individually

How some people think so highly about themselves BUT no results was shown and they can still go on and on about their smartness which is actually non-existent at the 1st place

How people can give so much ridiculous excuses

It was an eye-opener. Like I always believe, “everything happens for a reason.” This screwed up term (never once a team) was a learning experience. It taught me what to do and what not to do in future. I really want to thank them for the wonderful experience they gave. Seriously. Without them, I would still be the naïve and happy-go-lucky person that believes anyone or anything people says which is bad in the real world as I might get cheated all the time. Thank you for being your true self. You guys should spread your ‘wonderful-ness’ to other people so that they will get up too & realize the bad side of the world.

Then the decision to run 2nd time was a big hoo-ha for me cos it was totally unexpected for me. My initial plan was to be a super duper kepoh senior when I’m in 3rd year. Guess plans change according to situation. Maybe it’s the thing that I wanted others to experience the valuable learning opportunities that I had. I didn’t want it to die just there. So we fought for it to happen. And we were given a 2nd chance. Woot ~

But something happened in the middle of the fight. I was struck by the intention of leaving the EB. Maybe because I felt I didn’t do enough for the team. So I felt I didn’t deserve to be in the team. And the intention to resign has been lingering in my mind for a long long time. But I never told my team as it would just be another bang on their head as 3 EB’s to run the LC is stressful enough. With Vance quitting, it just make me more stressed up about what was running in my head and if I really want to do this to my team. It would be a bad bad thing and unfair. I had no one to talk to. Except one who knew about it. Thank you. You know who you are my dear. I’m not sure if my teamie noticed about my weird changes. I was not as hyped up compared to the previous term. I have to say I was burnt out. Pretty badly.

Then I took a long deep thought. Thinking back of the reason of the fight. To find back my passion. To find the spirit. But it didn’t work much. So I did what I could. To build the foundation in my Executives. Did as much FA work I could. I feel bad for not being honest with my teamie but some things are better of not told.

I like to keep my emotions to myself. Even if I want to break down, I would do it myself, alone. In the room. In the shower. Never showing others my sad feelings besides mum. I don’t like to share my sad side. Like Rubi always say, she knows there’s a lot running in my head, I am just not sharing. Haha. I am sorry but I really can’t kick out this bad habit. I feel safe without having to share them. Main reason, I don’t want people to be worry about me. So yeah.

To my team, thanks for the great team experience for the past 1 term. Finally!! The team experience feeling!! Woot ~ Thanks for making it happen. It feels great to finally being able to work in a team team. Seriously if not for you guys, I would have erm… resign? Your high spirit and motivation has kept me going on till today. You two are my inspiration. Thank you for everything. I know I have not been performing up to expectations but it’s really hard when the R word is still lingering around me. I’m still finding the right Ridsect to kill it for good but it keeps coming back buzzing here and there annoyingly. I am looking forward to see-ing you two continue the AIESEC journey. *hint hint*

GO FOR IT!!

U two have my full support! Woot ~ !!

To the juniors/ babies/ kids/ gengsters (if u are reading this), you guys grow really really fast. Incredible speed le. Looks like we use the right fertilizer and right amount of water till u guys bloom so so well. (using Susy’ concept – u guys were seeds in the beginning; now, a well grown tree) I am very very proud of each of you. You guys will do well! I have faith of LC USM’s future! AMAN 2009 awards , we’ll be there to grab u. Mua hahahha !!

-----

The learning cycle never ends in AIESEC. It’s really up to us if we want to grab the opportunity and ready to learn from others, mistakes made and ourselves. We choose our path to live. We are what we are.

Thank you AIESEC. Thank you for the platform. Thank you for the learning opportunity. Thank you for the environment. I want more of it. I'll be back! I promise.

de Journey

It has been 2 years since then. The day I made up my mind. Picking @ instead of SJ. It was a tough decision as I have passion in SJ compared to @ so much more. The main reason: I had a better experience in @, meet awesome inspiring people, I feel motivated, I feel inspired, I want to stay on, so I thought. In SJ, everyone around had a negative aura and thoughts. They complain and whine all the time. So negative! This people were the ones that demotivated me in SJ more and more besides the boring, repetitive & unreasonable long hours 1st aid classes and foot drill that I already know.

Running for VP last term was ... (words cant describe it) I dont know if it was good/bad for me. There was no team, everyone was an individual by their own. Backstabbing, complaining, bitching and doing nothing was the biggest problem of the the never existed team I guess. This could be only 2 things. Either the leader that lead us suck like hell cos he couldnt lead the team, duh! OR the selection process of the EB was not conducted properly. Last term, I'm pretty sure that 3/4 of them at least, their @ knowledge is almost none. Even mine was hanging in the air back then. There was times when I wanted to resign 3 times of attempt but I just felt like going on despite the team breaking up from the start. Even then, I'm glad that I was able to met the few inspiring juniors and 5 of them was adopted as my 'anak'.

My initial plan in 3rd year >> to be a kepoh senior in @ & come bak to nose around(in a good way), join all sports club like swimming, archery, kungfu, etc. Go through a life I've never had since 1st year. The life where I just be a member and have loads of fun. No planning, no excution, just pure fun and learn new stuff.

But things doesnt go according to your plan I guess. I still went back to @ and be a VP the 2nd time. SUPRISE!! Mum was shocked, bros tried to shake off that idea from my head cos I was doing badly in studies & dad gave up and just said as long as u grad with 3.0 .

It was a total experience comparatively. The motivation, the fire that made me want to do something, make a change for @, make a difference WERE my determination.

The common phrase people usually give when they are given a choice to grab certain responsibilities: "I'm not ready". But there is always a first time for everything right? We are not born to 'know' something right away unless you are some God.

What is most important, u learn through the experience given. Opportunities don't come all the time, it's up to us to grab it whenever it's there. I believe that if you want to do it & u are determined, then just do it cos nothing could stop u then.

Believe in yourself.

Learn from mistakes.

Be humble.

Be yourself. =)

USMLDS was a blast!

Lalala ~

It’s the second day I’m back home & I’ve been locking myself up in the house feeling lazy and all. I love the scent of home. The faces I miss, the voices, my bed & pillow, dog2…

5 days ago, @ USM had LLDS. It was a blast, superb! The gengsters were impressive! I could say the satisfaction of LLDS covered up the depressed feeling I was having before =)

The gengsters was really energetic! They didn’t want to sleep although it was 3 am already, spend time in McD and ‘pillow talk’ session. I was rather speechless. I was dying to sleep in my previous conferences.

Sessions was good & the gengsters was proactive. Woot ~ I like Cow and Chicken simulation & the Derdians! =)

Me being the Murderer during Night Stalk was funny! Only 1 group could guess it was me! My acting was sucky le… and I forgotten 1 scene >> to walk to the place the scandal-er and scandal-ee was scandaling. =P

The gift from the gengsters was touching. Hehe. Luckily I didnt shed tears on spot. ^_^

I didnt had time to write sugar cube. To all de facis, good job! Me luv u all! *hugZ*

Man, it was a great time back for NatCon although it was such a short trip to Penang. But it did made a difference though. Meeting me team after so so long again. Argh! Cant wait for the sem to start!

Meeting up the other EB's from other LC's was really fun and inspring. See-ing their pumped up spirit, full of energy, enthusiastic, willing to learn, ask questions, throwing in fresh ideas. Man, @-ers will always be @-ers.

Not only that, I was able to meet the seniors like Desmond-y, Heng Heng, Peter Foo and Suki. Woot ~ Getting to know the NatCon OC's.. their names and faces... argh... I was cracking my head remembering their names actually. Man, I'm getting old. Nuuuuu!!!

This pic.....

Do u know how precious it was to be able to catch this photo with all four of us in it? It's always one of us missing in some events and when photos are taken, it doesnt feel complete but NOW.... we finally made it... Walla! Our cute huggy cuddly warm family photo is finally complete... I'm so gonna treasure this photo....

I love u guys!! *hugz & kisses*

Hang in there. Let's give our best shot that we have. Confident that we're gonna have the best time ever. Weeee ~

Kenangan Terindah

I was listening to this song then I remembered my journey in AIESEC (@) so far. The 1 year experience of being in the EB. People I have met through @. My anak-anak. Btw my new anak in the family is Izzati. Woot ~ 3 more vacancies which is still empty are still up for grabs. Hehe.

I still cannot believe that 1++ year ago, I decided to apply for @ as an EB and dump StJohn aside. Although it has been a harsh year, I can list down more positive stuff (not EB experience) than the negative ones. Woot ~

Some of the incredible people I've met through @ really changed my life. Most of them left their @ experience but we are still friends and we still keep in touch. I've learn some of the @ elements myself and practising it in my daily life I guess.

The main factor that can maintain me in a club/organisation is the people. I feel really grateful. For the past 20 years, I have met the best people I could ever have. I could say that 95% are really the best people I wouldnt want to miss making friends with. Each of them created a mark , a story in my life. I really dont know how to show my gratitude to them.

My 1 year of EB experience cant be described with words. There's ups and downs like duh. But it definitely colored my life, in a good and bad way. I'm not too sure if I actually fitted to be in the EB at the 1st place somehow. Even for this term.

The past EB, I'm not too sure if I'll miss them. They (most of them) didnt leave an impact to my life in a positive way. They left a really bad scar. Some hurt me really badly til I had to make a hard decision which is to banish them from my friend list for good. No turning back no matter what happens after this.

They kinda open my eyes>>>
- how manipulative humans can be,
- the fake-ness some can truely be and they'll never ever give up no matter how hard they try,
- unacceptable illogical most unrealistic excuses I have ever heard,
- true stupidity,
- overly ego-ness til it can break the wall,
- think too highly on themselves as if they were god which is obviously not,
- unethical,
- do nothing but discriminating and complain ALL the time,
- actions that's contradictive of what they say ALL the time,
- never once a supportive teammate,
- NATO,
- some just disappear when shit happens,
- pushing responsibilities MOST of the times.

Sigh. So yeah. The unhealthiest team I have been so far. I wont miss them especially..... () () () () () () () () ... no names to be mentioned.... I am trying to forget them you see... this is part of the process of deleting them away....

I have always belive that in whatever we do, we should have a positive mindset. Think positively. True that shits happens but we all learned from these shits. WHat is most important, we tried our best to fix it. Results is truely important but the process in gaining the result is most important.

Running away from responsibilities is definitely a no-no. Even excuses for the delayed and piled up workload. Man, I duno what I am thinking right now. I feel like giving up. But I know I would regret if I really did. It's the special week of the month & I am usually like this. Forgive me aite.

de scare of my life

Today was the selection for AIESEC USM EB 08/09. I was not prepared. Lol.

The interview session went so-so. I started of rather bad. Sigh. I was rather tensed initially but as the interview went on, I was feeling more comfortable and more confident in answering the questions.... I think...

tHE questions was rather challenging if you asked me. It really made me think before I answered them. As it went on, I found out that deep in me, I really want to be in the EB. Doing something for the LC. Change some things and making a difference. I know that I can only do these two by being in the EB. I'm no longer doubt what I wanted. I want this and I'm determined.

The flow of the interview was:
  1. Personal

  2. Department
  3. Commitment

Personal part was alil scary for me although I just have to be myself. I am not good in expressing myself. Haha.

Department part was rather technical. I could answer but idealess if I answered OK. There was 1 question that I couldnt answer. It goes like this. What would you do about your department when u leave? *thinks really hard* This question is actually expected but James and Sandy ask me to imagine that the whole EB team only consists of 4 person, no one else, no directors(might restructure the whole LC structure). *gack* What would I do? I went ga-ga. I have never thought of it. I have always thought I would had directors(if I pass) but now, without Directors??? I am cluelesss. Wow! This is going to be one big challenge. Woo hoo ~ I like!!

Interview session finished. I'm relieved. Lalala ~

Serena sms-ed saying that Sandy's birthday is tomorrow. So she thought of celebrating it today after the interview session finished. Bought a cake. We were having a hard time choosing the cake. Haha.

It's really cool to see @ers again. Anyway these are the random photos I took.

This is the birthday girl btw. Sandy, HAPPY B'DAY!!! She havent make a wish and blow the candles... but want to cut the cake edi... lol

Candles out ~ Cutting cake time

Hoho... we wont let you go so easily b'day girl... bite the candle out with your teeth... hoho...

Sandy's nose stained by the cake

Everyone waiting to get their share of the cake.... haha... greedy people

The cake cut-ed needed support. Lol.

Rubi looked really excited. Shobee just wait....

Muslih and Zhe Rong *feed me*

That's Suki puk*... oops? ----->

Sandy talking to Desmond. Bday girl, u dont want to eat ur bday cake? Left half only... u better eat it goes *poof*

Jess posing... sigh... makan la Jess

Attempt to feed Miss Kan:

*dudge* *duge even more* WAHHHH!!! But finally Miss Kan ate.
Or the cake would end up in her blouse. Way to go Sandy. Lol!!

So.. that was how the surprise went. I was excited and rather high after that. Couldnt join them for dinner though. I had to attend to Hari Ko-ku thing. But it was rather exciting. Silat Cekak , Taekwando, waltz (Izzati was performing), choir (Shobee was at the first row), some traditional dance, sketch by USM Kubang Kerian students (Karim & Kegelapan were both my fav character). James kinda called but it was rather noisy so he said he'll call back. *results**It's out**I scared*

I was in the room. James called. *heart beat ( dup dup )* He asked me what would I transit to my VP Elect and what is important in TM. Then he said something like he expected me to know more about TM... blablabla... and he said he would call me back to let me know... OMG!!! This sounds bad.. but whatever the result is, I told myself I would be fine with it. I can still kepoh around XP

2nd call came in.
James: I want you to help me with this. Jot this down.

*gets paper and pen*

James: Please call Charina and tell her the list of EB 08/09 ok?

Rubi, Vance and Serena's name were mentioned with the position they gotten. Then he put the phone right after that and tell me to inform Cheri about it.

I was shocked. I was stunned a while. Speechless. I was wandering why James didnt even try to comfort me to make me feel better. Gosh. Weird. Unexpected.

3rd call. This time I was rather reluctant to pick up the call.
James: Hey I missed something. Ng Ching .......

I was shocked. Happy. Overjoyed. Oh My God!! I cannot believe this!! And I screamed over the phone. Oops?

James and Sandy: Haha... how do you feel now? And how u felt before this? *evil laughs at the background*

Then they told me they played prank on the rest also. But I was alil more 'special' since I had 3 calls. RIGHTT!!! This people... I almost had a heart attack. Apa ni!! Playing prank on people. Wah wah !!! But it was breathtaking though. Haha....

I AM REALLY HAPPY!!

Waie is my lucky charm it seems. Haha. I was with her before the interview. Lol.

Sexbomb -

This is the sq dance with the song "Sexbomb". It's really hillarious. The guy on the right is so thin, he reminds me of sotong. Actually he dance like a sotong. But I kinda terikut-ikut with the way he dance. Hoho... me like...

This entertaining yet joyful sq dance was performed by KU LC, Korea btw.... wahhhhh!! I love them... haha...
